One-on-One Coaching
Advance LA’s one-on-one coaching helps people who want to progress in their life, but may feel “stuck” or experiencing failure to launch syndrome and need some help. Our coaching program is unique as we provide a comprehensive range of services for young adults ages 18-29 with diverse challenges including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, executive functioning issues, anxiety, and social/emotional issues. We take goals and dreams that seem impossible and help create a road map to success.
We value working with other industry professionals and take a team-based approach to success. Whenever possible, we collaborate with family members, therapists and psychologists, psychiatrists, and others to provide a comprehensive program based on what you need.

Coaching works
Our one-to-one Life Skills Coaches meet with their clients in person or remotely using Skype, Zoom, FaceTime or phone. Our coaches assist our clients in the areas of academics/study skills, time management, organization, executive functioning, job obtainment and maintenance, health/wellness, social engagement/dating skills, and independent living skills. Through our work, we hope to inspire personal growth and development, offer a sense of mastery and accomplishment, and allow each client to “advance” to greater levels of independence.
What does a typical session look like?
Every Advance LA coaching session is individual and unique, so there is no such thing as a typical session. We provide one-on-one coaching where you need it most. If there are challenges at school, we will hold sessions on campus and in the classroom. If the issues are at work, we will go to your place of employment or a job fair. If the issues are more socially-driven, we will go out to a social event and work with you there. We also conduct sessions at your home or in the community. Session content is goal-oriented and is determined by you and your coach. Together, you will go into the world, try new things, explore, and learn new skills. At the end of the session, your coach may discuss “homework” and plans for the next meeting. Experience has shown that most Advance LA young adults enjoy their coaching sessions. They are working on things they want to accomplish with a person they like and trust – and having fun along the way. Contact us today to find out how coaching can help you!
Testimonials
My adult son is doing great because of his Advance LA Life Coach! I am so grateful for the assistance. My son’s Life Coach is helping him to learn how to interact in college-type environments and helping him improve his social skills which is exactly what I hoped for when I signed up with ALA. I am just thrilled with the Advance LA Life Skills Coaching Program!
“Sophia is great! I’m seeing a lot of progress and motivation. My son is doing great at work and hopefully it will move to full time. He already got a raise. He is starting to address health issues and social dating issues. I thought this might not ever happen!”
